Military Order of the Purple Heart Veterans Affairs Voluntary Services Program
The United States Department of Veterans Affairs' (VA) Office of Center for Development and Civic Engagement (CDCE) operates the largest volunteer program in the Federal Government, supplementing staff and resources in all areas of patient care and support. Military Order of the Purple Heart (MOPH) Volunteers supplement essential personnel, equipment, facilities, and programs for the direct and indirect care, treatment, and welfare of veteran patients. Military Order of the Purple Heart Volunteers participate in the VAVS program and provide invaluable service to other veterans and their families. The two official MOPH VAVS Handbooks( MOPH VAVS Handbook and the MOPH REP DEP Training Handbook) are located on the MOPH website under Forms:(https://www.purpleheart.org/MOPHForms). The handbooks will provide guidance to the Department and Chapter members involved in the VAVS Program through the VA.
